http://www.ordinariatomilitare.chiesacattolica.it/arcidiocesi_ordinariato_militare_per_l_italia_/00004891_Home_Page.html

The Role of Felix A. Morlion
In the latter part of April 1948 the Romanian Timpul published an article, "The Vatican Espionage Service," cited in the Soviet journal New Times, No.31, 1948, at pp. 5, 6. As reported, the article indicated that,
"In 1946 the Pope entrusted the Dominican friar [Felix A.] Morlion, a Belgian, with the reorganization of the Vatican intelligence service and its merger with the jesuit espionage network. The central intelligence department of the Vatican is headed by Janssens, a general of the Jesuit Order. His deputy is Montini, the acting Vatican Secretary of State, and his assistants are Schmider, the administrative director of the central jesuit espionage bureau, and Morlion, director of Centro d'informazione pro Deo. The central intelligence department is subdivided into branches and sections dealing with the various countries. One of the main branches is the so-called 'special division' which operates under the signboard of the Centro d'informazione pro Deo press agency. Similar divisions have been set up in the Centro d'informazione pro Deo units in all parts of the world. In New York the 'special division' is directed by Cardinal Spellman, in Innsbruck (Austria) by Regent, the rector of a jesuit college, in Coblenz (Germany) by the Catholic priest Poelaert who is also director of the Catholic press agency. The branch in charge of espionage in Eastern and Southeastern Europe is supervised by Schmider and Preseren, the jesuits' chief expert on the Slav countries and adviser to the Vatican Secretary of State."
In August 1966, Morlion approached H. L. Hunt for funding Vatican anti-Communist operations in Latin America. Hunt gave an interview to the British Guardian Weekly, February 27, 1969:
" 'I was approached by Paolo Cardinal Marella, who said he spoke for the Pope and asked if I would supply members of my [20,000 member] Youth Freedom Speakers' movement who spoke Spanish to be sent south [to Latin America] to engage in speechmaking and activities. I was told the Pope was thinking in terms of 11 million dollars a year support for the entire movement against communism in Spanish-speaking countries.' ......... The project was now centered in New York, at the Asian Speakers Bureau, with the Free Pacific Association, Inc., on Riverside Drive [another front for the Rev. Moon's Unification Church]. A key figure in this papal concern over Leftist threats to the Vatican's greatest stronghold was thc Rev. Felix A. Morlion, who was present at the original discussions. "
Subsequently, Morlion emerged as a key figure in the "Bulgarian Connection" hoax when the fascist Grey Wolf Agca attempted to assassinate the Pope: It appears that Morlion lived in Rome directly below the apartment of the Bulgarian Antonov, and was a possible source of Agca's description of Antonov's apartment. Angelo Rizzoli was a reputed member of Propaganda Due, or P-2, a secret Masonic lodge accused of plotting to overthrow democracy in Italy and now outlawed by the nation's Parliament. Another reported member of the lodge was Roberto Calvi, the president of Banco Ambrosiano, who committed suicide in London last year and left a multi-million dollar shortfall in the Banco Ambrosiano's books. Police sources said Mr. Tassan Din, who was charged last June with fraud and illegally exporting capital, was intimately involved in the operations of the bank and that he and Angelo Rizzoli were close associates of Mr. Calvi. When a scandal involving the secret Propaganda 2 Masonic Lodge, an organization dominated by wealthy and conservative men with subversive political ambitions, shook Italy in May 1981 and brought down the Government of Prime Minister Arnaldo Forlani, it was revealed that Mr. Forlani was a close associate of Mr. Gelli, head of the lodge. Mr. Calvi, president of Banco Ambrosiano, then Italy's largest private bank and, like Corriere della Sera, a pillar of the Milan establishment, was equally close to the lodge's grandmaster. The flow of Banco Ambrosiano money into the Rizzoli empire led in 1977 to the bank's acquiring a 40 percent share in the publishing concern, and a company controlled by Mr. Tassan Din obtained 10 percent. One of the most visible effects on Corriere della Sera was the resignation of Mr. Ottone, whose opening to the left was unacceptable to Propaganda 2; Mr. Ottone's replacement, Franco Di Bella, was a largely nonpolitical Corriere journalist. When the Masonic Lodge scandal came to light in May 1981, it became known that Angelo Rizzoli, Mr. Tassan Din and Mr. Di Bella also belonged to the lodge. Mr. Di Bella was forced to resign as editor, and President Sandro Pertini persuaded Mr. Cavallari to accept the editorship. Grace : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_de_Luxembourg_%281957%29 et http://www.motherjones.com/politics/1983/07/their-will-be-done (...) And who are the American Knights? Mother Jones managed to obtain part of the secret membership list. On it we found some familiar names: Lee lacocca of Chrysler; Spyros Skouras, the shipping magnate; Robert Abplanalp, the aerosol tycoon and Nixon confidant; Barren Hilton of the hotel chain; John Volpe, former U.S. ambassador to Italy; and William Simon, who served as both treasury secretary and energy czar in the 1970s. At least one former envoy to the Vatican, Robert Wagner (the ex-mayor of New York), and the current emissary to the Vatican, William Wilson, are also members of the Knights of Malta. But there is one institution that stands out as the center of the SMOM in the United States—W.R. Grace & Company. J. Peter Grace, the company chairman, is also president of the American section of SMOM. No less than eight knights, including the chancellor of the order, John D.J. Moore (who was ambas-sador to Ireland under Nixon and Ford), are directors of W.R. Grace. J. Peter Grace has a long history of involvement with CIA-linked enterprises, such as Radio Liberty and Radio Free Europe, which was the brainchild of General Reinhard Gehlen. He is also the board chairman of the American Institute for Free Labor Development (AIFLD), which has collaborated with multinational corporations and their client dictatorships in Latin America to squelch independent trade unions. Up to $100 million a year of CIA funds were pumped into "trustworthy" labor organi-zations such as AIFLD, whose graduates, according to AIFLD executive director William Doherty, were active in covert operations that led to the military coup in Brazil in 1964. During the early 1970s, Francis D. Flanagan, the Grace repre-sentative in Washington, D. C., was a member of ITT's "Ad Hoc Committee on Chile," which was instrumental in planning the overthrow of Salvador Allende. AIFLD's National Workers' Con-federation subsequently served as the chief labor mouthpiece for the Pinochet junta. There are many other knights with CIA connections. Clare Boothe Luce, for example, the grande dame of American diplomacy, served as a U.S. ambassador to Italy in the 1950s and is now a member of the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board, which oversees covert operations. William Buckley, Jr., a former CIA operative and the editor of the National Review, is a member, as is his brother James, a former senator from New York and now undersecretary of state for security assistance. |

| Dans
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roberto_Calvi

October 19, 1972
Belgian ecumenist, educator and diplomat Professor Andrew Felix Morlion O.P., president of the International University of Social Studies in Rome, lectured on "Human Relations for Peace." The founder in 1932 of the International Movement for Promotion of Democracy under God (Pro Deo), Morlion served as intermediary between Pope John XXIII and President John Kennedy in their dealings with Nikita Kruschev in the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. Speaking of this to his Vassar audience, he pointed to "how peace was made in the past," Ricki Ryland '75 wrote in The Miscellany News, "and how it will be made in the future. The peace of the past has been 'peace by politics of power—the peace of obedience, the peace of fear.... The peace of power was finished in 1943, for peace cannot be made by an uneasy balance of terror.'"
"Fr. Morlion," Ryland concluded, "is a charming man. Perhaps there is no other way that he could have delivered as vulnerably optimistic a message and still held such a captivated audience.... The Aula emptied slowly after the lecture.... Morlion had offered his listeners the age-old dream: 'Bombs and power politics can be gone by 2070—start now so the children of your children may see it.' Outside waited nothing but the cold night." (...) In 1949 he became chairman of the newly founded American Committee on United Europe, which worked to counter the new Communist threat to Europe by promoting European political unity.[13] The vice-chairman was Allen Dulles, and Walter Bedell Smith sat on the board as well.[13] Georgetown University professor Joshua Paul's researches show that ACUE financed the European Movement, the most important federalist organisation in the post-war years. For example, in 1958, the ACUE provided 53.5% of the movement's funds.[13] The European Youth Campaign was 100% funded by the ACUE.[13] Joseph Retinger, Robert Schuman and Paul-Henri Spaak cut their political teeth in the EYC.[13] (...)

Euro-federalists financed by US spy chiefs
By Ambrose Evans-Pritchard in Brussels
12:00AM BST 19 Sep 2000
DECLASSIFIED American government documents show that the US intelligence community ran a campaign in the Fifties and Sixties to build momentum for a united Europe. It funded and directed the European federalist movement.
The documents confirm suspicions voiced at the time that America was working aggressively behind the scenes to push Britain into a European state. One memorandum, dated July 26, 1950, gives instructions for a campaign to promote a fully fledged European parliament. It is signed by Gen William J Donovan, head of the American wartime Office of Strategic Services, precursor of the CIA.
The documents were found by Joshua Paul, a researcher at Georgetown University in Washington. They include files released by the US National Archives. Washington's main tool for shaping the European agenda was the American Committee for a United Europe, created in 1948. The chairman was Donovan, ostensibly a private lawyer by then.
The vice-chairman was Allen Dulles, the CIA director in the Fifties. The board included Walter Bedell Smith, the CIA's first director, and a roster of ex-OSS figures and officials who moved in and out of the CIA. The documents show that ACUE financed the European Movement, the most important federalist organisation in the post-war years. In 1958, for example, it provided 53.5 per cent of the movement's funds.
The European Youth Campaign, an arm of the European Movement, was wholly funded and controlled by Washington. The Belgian director, Baron Boel, received monthly payments into a special account. When the head of the European Movement, Polish-born Joseph Retinger, bridled at this degree of American control and tried to raise money in Europe, he was quickly reprimanded.
The leaders of the European Movement - Retinger, the visionary Robert Schuman and the former Belgian prime minister Paul-Henri Spaak - were all treated as hired hands by their American sponsors. The US role was handled as a covert operation. ACUE's funding came from the Ford and Rockefeller foundations as well as business groups with close ties to the US government.
The head of the Ford Foundation, ex-OSS officer Paul Hoffman, doubled as head of ACUE in the late Fifties. The State Department also played a role. A memo from the European section, dated June 11, 1965, advises the vice-president of the European Economic Community, Robert Marjolin, to pursue monetary union by stealth.
It recommends suppressing debate until the point at which "adoption of such proposals would become virtually inescapable".
